Briana Wu, MT-BC, LPMT
Hi! I’m Briana. I am a very passionate music therapist originally from the very sunny city of Los Angeles, California. My academic journey led me through the University of the Pacific, where I pursued a major in Music Therapy and a minor in psychology. I completed my music therapy internship at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, San Francisco. With a heart for healing, I have had the privilege to work with a range of individuals, from medical pediatrics to memory care and the elderly population.
My journey through music and psychology has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the intricate interplay between sound and the human mind. With more than 12 years of piano and guitar experience, I enjoy crafting therapeutic musical experiences that resonate with diverse populations. My commitment extends to creating safe spaces for children and adults with special needs, where music becomes a bridge for communication and emotional expression. Guided by creativity and compassion, I'm dedicated to fostering well-being and connections through the harmonious world of music therapy.
Outside of music therapy, you can find me with a camera in my hand, traveling to new places with my fiance, and creating videos of our adventures together. In addition, I enjoy using my platform to raise awareness about the transformative impact of music therapy.

“The aspect of being a music therapist that I hold closest to my heart is the opportunity to participate in someone's musical journey. In addition to making music together, I love being there for my client as they share moments of happiness, vulnerability and anything that is on their mind. Every music therapy session I lead reminds me of the privilege I have with working with others and helping them express themselves through music. I have dedicated my life to changing lives through music.“
